Youth Mental Health First Aid

The Youth Mental Health First Aid course will teach you how to assist adolescents who may be experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis until appropriate professional help is received or the crisis resolves, using a practical, evidence based Action Plan.
This course is based on guidelines developed through the expert consensus of people with lived experience of mental health problems and professionals.

ASIST
April 16 - 17, 2019 • UTAS, Sandy Bay
ASIST is a two-day interactive workshop in suicide first-aid. ASIST teaches participants to recognise when someone may be at risk of suicide and work with them to create a plan that will support their immediate safety. This is a Blue ribbon, top shelf, state-of-the-art, best practice suicide intervention initiative from Canada since 1983.
