ASIST is a 2-day course that teaches how to intervene with a person who is at risk of suicide. It is a one of a kind course that reduces stigma around conversations about suicide and trains on the correct way to help a suicidal person.
The ASIST course is updated regularly to reflect new knowledge and findings and has been improving knowledge around suicidality for the past 40 years.
Results demonstrate that ASIST courses helps participants become more willing, ready, and able to intervene with someone at risk of suicide. This 2-day course is used as the first module for Lifeline Crisis Supporter Training. An ASIST Kit will be supplied, as well as morning and afternoon tea served.
